Crook is one of the best dogs I have seen at any age!  He was striking off the ground at four months and off the rig at six months old.  By the time he was eight months old he was stopping some really big, bad boars by himself.  This dog has no backup in him.  Yet, he is smart and athletic enough to stay alive.  Which is very important for Dangerous Big Game Dogs!  It really doesn't matter how good a big game dog is, if his life expectancy is only a handful of hunts. Crook caught his first bear, this past September, before he turned a year old with his older full Brother, (Pistol), owned by Ty Hare.  We caught two out of three bears we started in less than 24 hrs.  These dogs are just as at home on Bear as they are hogs.  Both, Crook and Pistol are Pictured on Bear Tree below.  Crook is out of the last Litter between Jed and Little Bit.  Jed, passed on all his traits to his offspring and I expect Crook to do the same!
